Biography

Art Master U Lu Tin was born in 1930 at Monywa, upper Myanmar. His parents are the masonry master U Poe wan and Daw Tar. He studied art at the school of fine arts in Mandalay from 1953 to 1956. In 1957, he started his journey of the artist life as an art (painting) demonstrator in St. Peter High School. He joined as an artist in the art show which was held at Sarpay Bateman,Yangon in 1963. It was his first show.
From 1964 to 2001, he participated in the annual shows of Myanmar Traditional Artists Association. He also took part in the art shows of Chindwin Yekyi from 1977 to 2004. |

Solo Show
In 1991, at the age of sixty he held his solo show at his native town Monywa. The title of the show was "Sixty Verses".
His second solo was taken placed in Nay Myo Say's "Mr. Guitar" in 1997. In 2001, at the age of 70, he showed his third solo not only in Yangon but also in Mandalay and Monywa. In 2002, he placed another solo show at famous art gallery from Mandalay, "Htan Yeik Nyo Art Gallery". In 2005, he put on show of "Diamond Jubilee Art Exhibition of U Lu Tin" at "Azada Gallery" in Yangon.

Group Show
